Politics
The world of Aronin consists of three main super powers:
The Mulunden Kingdom:
Controls most of the main land, is ruled by King Deimun, a powerful man with little or no respect for those he considers weak. In a bold military move he expanded his kingdom's borders from half the main land to most, as already stated. His push for taking control of all the main land was halted by the next super power.
Cities within:
Mulunden: The capital city.
Meshay: A city by the ocean, it provided most of the supplies and equipment from across the ocean until the Mulunden Kingdom took control of the lands northward.
Lieway: A small town, also by the ocean, hardly on its last leg, mostly used to transport prisoners to the penitentiaries across the water.
After Strike
After Mulunden attacked Linnel Kingdom, it gained most of Linnel's cities.
Salta: Next to an enormous bay, Salta is the most advanced city on the main land, it receives good and technology from the outer islands, comprised of skyscrapers and other tall buildings, Salta is now the main port of imports and exports for the Mulunden Kingdom.
Aroguard: Located next to the colossal Lake Aroma, it was once Linnel's main defense station.
Agrimo: A snowy town found in the high North, North East. Agrimo is the only town with means of reaching the Far Northern land of Aimidia.
Izenches: A Temple built in a frozen lake, it's a shrine to the spirit of Mt. Izech commonly known as Mt. Death, and of the King of an ancient race of people who's resting place is said to remain in the temple. It is rumored to be guarded by a giant snake like creature known as Ekladeed.
Military
Mulunden's forces are armed with swords and shields, bows and arrows. Finding guns to be to dangerous in society and too costly to produced it was agreed long ago to ban them from the main land, Linnel also follows this rules, however, their are some cases where guns find their way into the main land, in such cases law enforcement is specially trained to counter projectile weaponry.
The Linnel Kingdom:
Once controlled half of the main land and was the more respected monarchy. Lead by King Eskiluun until his assasination by Deimun himself, after which Mulundun struck. After King Eskiluun died in an ambush setup by King Deimun, Eskiluun's son Eskileeth took took control of the thrown at ten years of age.
Although he was young, Eskileeth commanded the kingdom like he'd done it his whole life, even though polotics weren't his strong-suit his over-all charisma and passion inspired people who were to aid him. However, the reason he was king was because he was oldest, if his younger sister was to marry, then she would take the thrown. Linnel sits upon a high plateau, steep on one side and a slope was made on the other, this was a controlling factor in why it was not taken over.
Cities Within:
Linnel: The capital city.
Finel: Directlly in front the capital, Finel is Linnel's first defense against invasion.
Aysan: South West of Finel, Aysan is the main tourist district for Linnel.
FinalStation: Directally behind the main palace, and on the edge of a cliff, if invasion forces take the main city, FinalStation is their last line of defense.
Military
Mostly follows the same rules as Mulunden, however, after Eskileeth took the thrown he found the strongest warriors to make as his generals and allowed the airforce established by Eskiluun to equip themselves with guns. This made his units the most fear around Aronin.
The Islands
They prefer to be called such, the Islands are a Democracy, lead currently by President Duun and Vice President General Munn. Duun is a man of few principals, he rules by money and fear. General Munn is a powerful man with many connections, after he took office his first order of business was to acquire a personal assistant with an unbeatable weapon, Izeikull was at first excited to be his leaders body guard, but became disappointed by their shadowing dealings. Having no real massive support of troops as the main land does, The Islands rely mostly on technology, producing guns and metal armory.
Cities Within
Higan: A town where scientists who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the cities can go to live.
Pice: The capital city.
Migan: A city specializing in the forging of irons and metals for demolition work.
Nigan: A city that has the main bank of the Islands. It holds most of the money for purchasing imports and other materials.
Aigan: The main tourist city, it's full of apartments, malls, food hubs, and airports.
Zigan: A technological breakthrough, the whole city has the ability to rise from the ground and fly away, a last resort should anything go wrong.
Malington: A mysterious city that is over hundreds of years old, one day quite recently the entire population disappeared, when a traveler journeyed their all he found was decomposing corpses in the streets, no one knows exactly what happened to them.
Fort Nate: A island fortress built to watch and receive information about events in the main land.
Amiway Prison: Located at the very south island, Amiway is where all small time criminals go. No extensive security.
Angel Prison: Where all extreme criminals go. Was once used as a sacrificial castle, Angel Prison is surrounded by an enormous labyrinth that stretches for miles. At the very top of Angel Prison is the remains of a witch who was said to be too powerful to be exorcised, so the monks strapped her to the roof until she died of starvation. Prisoners who come here are said to go made after the first year, if released, it's good initiative to not go back.
Military
Producing more technological weaponry than the main land makes them a super power, they specialize in aerial and ground combat, although however powerful they are they remain in their own territory. Much of the Island towns are modern marvels, they are all built to the sky and full of people.
Sub Power
Aimidia
Aimidia has two types of people, the Aimidians either have dark blue hair or light blue hair, a trait only found if born in Aimidia. The Aimidians are in an ongoing war between each other dark blue vs. light blue. When their founder died he left them each keys to his tomb saying that if tragedy should strike the answer lies within. He was buried with all his wealth and awhile after his death they fell into a depression and their towns started to fail, even after opening thier former leaders tomb they found no answers, that's when the fighting broke out, an has continued for years. Each side taking one of the keys to their side.
Aimidia has three major cities:
Oarlington: A "neutral" city on the lower part of the landmass.
Fort Aibidian: The home of the Dark Blue Hair Aimidians.
Fort Aijeama: The Home of the Light Blue Haired Aimidians.
All area in between is No Mans Land.
Military
Although very battle worthy peoples the Aimidians have n real structured army. Their weaponry is a mesh of guns and swords, and in some cases a fusion.
Ancient History
Thousands of years before hand, the land was split into Four Major Tribes:
The Majjalla: Considered to be the "good" side they wanted nothing to do with wars, but were very battle ready people.
The Mallajja: Considered to be the "bad" side they were very aggressive people.
The Pendragons: A neutral society that made all their building and structure from an ancient material that allowed them to see the future, this also had a curious affect on their physical features, they had extremely long life and yellow eyes. Lead by Lord Goose, they fought only when necessary.
The Drakon: A race of strong built lizard like people, they trained always to perfect their bodies. Lead by the colossal King J'inj. They also made all their structure from a special material, it was said to allow wielders to perform at their full potential, anyone weaker than the current user was said to turn to dust when trying to steal it.
War
The Majjala and the Mallajja fought constantly for control of the main land, in their fights they made two orbs, one for each side:
The Orb of Light: Looks like a blue glowing ball. Made by the Majjalla, this orb reveale to the user the true "face" of anyone.
The Orb of Victory: Looks like a green glowing ball. Made by the Mallajja, this orb was able to control the minds of the weak and is said to contain emense power.
After these orbs were made the Pendragons and the Drakon each made their own:
The Gray Orb: Looks like a dull gray ball. Made by the Pendragons, because it was made out of their material it holds the same properties, but could now be carried into battle. It has the power to show the future that will happen or that might.
The Eye of Rust: Looks like an orange-ish eye. Made by the Drakon, because it was made out of their material it holds the same properties, but could now be carried into battle.
After the war had ended with the defeat of the Majjalla the orbs were hidden, the Gray orb was given to a powerful psychic for safe keeping. The Orb of Light was given to the Malingtonians for safekeeping. The Eye of Rust was given to a young woman to keep safe. The Orb of Victory was lost and never seen again.
Races:
Aroninians:
Common humans.
Aimidians:
People with either light blue or dark blue hair.
Cerophians:
A race of people oppressed by some modern societies, they were said to be descendants of the Majjalla cursed by the Mallajja forever. All have one similar characteristic Cat Ears? No one could see why but it's just what it is.
Mythology:
Shadow People: This phenomenon does not refer to shadow ghosts, strange black shadows in the form of people, instead it refers to the myth of people who have died and seemingly rose from the grave. For years the people of Aronin have reported seeing loved ones walking around in plain day light, only with a few differences. The common profile of a shadow person is that they have pale skin, bright pale skin, like a ghost, and black hair, always black hair even if the living person didn't. These individuals are often described as having an unfamiliar feeling following them, like they're not really there. Shadow people do not respond to their "life" names, and rarely ever claim to know their former family, leaving many to believe that it's just a coincidence. Although very interesting no proof has been raised to prove these "Shadow People" are walking specters.
A Girl Named Fortune: There are many legends flying around Aronin, but one in particular resurfaces time and again. An old legend said that the Gray Orb of the Pendragons was given to a powerful psychic and her bodyguard. Many people claim to have met a fortune teller calling herself only "Fortune," walking around with a man, who reminds many of these spotters of a dog of some kind, with incredible strength. She is characterized with holding a gray crystal ball that she uses to see the future or the "possible" future. Given the reputation of Pendragon artifacts it's easy to see how this legend came to last so long, but no one's been able to record any meetings with this alleged person.
The Modern Pendragon: It's been theorized by many that some important people in Aronin's past were Pendragons, or were given the Pendragon's sword. The most famous of these people is Abe Oarlington who once brought peace to Aimidia several hundred years ago and then his recent death caused the land to fall back into chaos. This teory glorifies many key figures in Aronin's history, and it's hard to determine the serious researchers from the die hard history fans just trying to get there favorite historical figure back in the news.
The Lions: Ah, the ever present asterisk in many theories of Aronin. The Lions are supposed to be being of pure emotion, named so because when they move they're supposed to look like some kind of large cat. The Lions are connected to many things in Aronin: The Pendragons, the Shadow People, the Cerophians, and much more. A famous explorer wrote a book about his supposed findings of Lion society. The legend goes that the Lions, beings of pure emotion, live forever and almost haunt the world of Aronin, mostly scene in areas of extreme disaster they are often considered an omen. The explorer claimed that he interacted with them on a personal level, he described them as people, when standing still, who are very expressive in their facial expressions, and wrap ribbons of cloth around themselves as some sort of clothing. He was, at first, surprised by this, he didn't think that beings that were able to move where they want and basically do what they want would be so self-conscious, but also said that it reflected a level of awareness. He claimed that he saw a Lion raise a man from the dead as a shadow person, he also claimed to see some Lions stare longingly at mortal people, with their tawny yellow eyes seeming to glow. These eyes reminded him of the stories he had heard of the Pendragons' yellow eyes. Also, he said that the fact that they look like large cats when they move quickly, may have something to do with the Cerophians cat ears. Unfortunately, this explorer went missing many years ago, all that was found was the book on his findings, but without him there was no way to prove anything he wrote.
Eskiloose Linnel: His story has become something of a legend. It IS known that he was a soldier in the Anchient War and that near the end of the war defeated King J'inj the Drakon king. It is recorded that during his fight with the monstrous king he too ws killed. What is speculated is his involvment in the war itself. Some say he had a hand in starting the war or that he played both sides for personal gain.
Eskileena: It is rumored that Eskiloose travelled with his best friend and a strange young woman whose name is disputed through-out history. In some documentation she is known as Eskileena but by many other names in different accounts of the same story, even some historians use different variations of the name in the same book. This has called into question wether Eskiloose travelled with several women or just one. It IS known that a woman close to Eskiloose was with him when he died and was given the Eye of Rust for safe keeping. It has been rumored that Eskileena is still alive today, the best known clue comes from the book, "The Lions in Depth" written by an explorer who disappeared many years ago. The book describes an event in which a "fair skinned" young woman presented herself to The Lions and had a look of "longing." It also states that this women had bright red hair that, "Reminded me of the Linnel Family Trait, if fact she looked like some old sketches of Lady Odealia[Eskileena] I had seen in my history books some years ago..." It is also known that the woman or women who were entrusted with the Eye of Rust started Linnel's Avengers a rebel group that would eventually grow in power enough to establish the Linnel Kingdom.
